Future Engineers
Engineering thinking meets the working world.
Who it is for
Students considering mechanical, electrical, industrial or civil engineering, seeking practical exposure before university.
Learning objectives
- Identify engineering problems and develop basic technical drawings and CAD models.
- Understand equipment, maintenance, reliability, spare parts and engineering costs.
- Analyze data using Excel and introductory programming; explore sensors, IoT and cloud concepts.
- Connect AI, predictive maintenance and digital twins to performance, cost and sustainability.
Program structure
Assets, maintenance, reliability, bills of materials, procurement, costs and projects.
Engineering data, Excel, basic Python, sensors, IoT and cloud concepts; supervised SOSME activities.
AI and YARA, predictive maintenance, digital twins, sustainability and the capstone.
Training method
Learn → Practice → Work → Build. Guided instruction introduces the fundamentals; practical assignments build confidence; supervised project activities connect learning to real work; a final capstone demonstrates what the participant can do. Tasks are adapted to the learner’s stage, with feedback and a monthly progress review.
Applied learning with SOSME
Create an asset register, inspection checklist, preventive maintenance plan and spare-parts list. Test relevant SOSME workflows, analyze equipment data and explore YARA engineering use cases under supervision.
Final project & portfolio
Select a suitable system such as HVAC, pumps, motors or an energy asset. Combine design, asset structure, maintenance, a sensor concept, data analysis, AI use, cost and sustainability in one documented engineering case.
Assessment & progress
Progress is assessed through commitment and attendance, learning development, assignment quality, contributions to supervised work, monthly reviews and the final capstone. Each monthly review asks what was learned, produced or contributed, what problem was addressed and what comes next.
Completion & certification pathway
Successful participants receive a Reflexion Future Talent Program Certificate of Completion for their track, supported by a practical portfolio and capstone. External credentials are awarded by their respective providers and depend on eligibility, fees, availability and successful assessment. Reflexion provides preparation and support; it does not issue or guarantee third-party credentials.
Suggested preparation: an Autodesk / Certiport CAD pathway appropriate to the discipline; optional AWS or Microsoft Fundamentals where relevant.
